Health Journey Update: Getting Back on Track

I don’t know about you, but it’s quite challenging for me to consistently stay on my Health Journey. I’m either doing well for a long period of time or I’m completely off track. For the past two months, it’s been the latter and I’ve finally reached my limit.

Lately, my health journey focuses on eating well, staying active and reading often. That shouldn’t be too challenging right? Instead, I’ve been eating poorly. I haven’t been engaged in any sort of physical activity (besides walking my dogs) and I’ve been slacking on my book list. My body feels sluggish, I’m not managing my moods well and my mind is easily disturbed. Those are the signs that it’s time to get back on track!

Beginning 04.21.2017 I will reestablish healthier eating habits and read a minimum of one chapter or 10 pages a day. After six days of being consistent, on 04.27.2017 I will get myself back into the gym and restart my fitness routine. I’ve noticed that rather than going all in, I am more likely to succeed if I steadily rebuild my Health Journey routine. Something I’ve learned along the way is the importance of developing plans that are realistic and suitable for you.

Phase one complete: Goals have been set! And this blog is the perfect place for me to document my progress as well as hold myself accountable. But first…donuts…

I am finally beginning to do all the things I think about doing. Instead of just thinking about all the things I want to do.

  1. I love the 7 day target – totally achievable but still a challenge in its own right. I am gonna borrow this page from you to kick-start my own path back to regular exercise next week. Kick a$$, Mariko!
